The London Lustfulness a Make Good of Breath Taking Views
April 29th, 2008 Posted in Uncategorized, united kingdomIn a political entity that is fiercely vigilant about its history and heritage this newest addition to the London skyline overlooking the momentous Thames River is substantive for its widespread illustrious acceptance. The British are usually heavily critical against in style landmarks yet eight years after the London Guard was erected it has become what the Eiffel has become to Paris and what the Empire State Edifice is to New York. London being a city that is steeped in history it is astonishing that the London Fondness has become in its very compressed life span the most visited tourist attraction in the city. The 3.5 million tourists that are strained to this masterpiece of contemporary engineering and architecture are testament to the fact that Brits are not as boring as we about they are. In all fairness they have welcomed what many thought they would be opposed to a giant steel wheel straight next to a world heritage site-The Palace of Westminster, it doesn't complement the momentous buildings of London but provides a hip 21st century interlude to a London full of gloomy buildings. In a way the London View could be termed a quintessential British historic, it represents some of the most loved characteristics of the sticks, its penetrating edge, iconic and in true Brit fashion lovably eccentric. Visitors to the London Plan on a clear summer's day can see the pleasant scenery of their surroundings to a distance of 25 miles. Attached to the wheel which is incidentally the tallest observation wheel in the world at 443 feet, are 32 glass compartments. There is a wooden bench at the middle of the compartment but for the best views longevity is the best. The rotation is slow and smooth so no need to worry wide motion sickness, the ride actually is so smooth that the wheel doesn't stop to load or unload passengers. The speed of rotation is slow enough to allow people to get on or bad whilst the wheel is turning. Due its location the London Look is close to most primary London hotels. The close proximity of the London Gaze to many other tourist attractions and also the London Fondness river tour on the Thames makes it a must see attraction for visitors to London. Luxury Hotels in London are also located close by.
